What is a Doula?
The word “doula” comes from the ancient Greek meaning “a woman who serves” and is now used to refer to a trained and experienced professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the mother before, during and just after birth; or who provides emotional and practical support during the postpartum period.
Studies have shown that when doulas attend birth, labors are shorter with fewer complications, babies are healthier and they breastfeed more easily.
What our time together will consist of:
4 prenatal visits, that consist of us discussing your preferences for your birth, concerns around the birth process, discussion of labor process via an in home childbirth class, labor coping skills and much more.
Check ins weekly to make sure all is well during the pregnancy.
Unlimited text emails and phone calls
Supportive labor assistance for duration of labor
Breastfeeding assistance 1-2 hours right after birth
Assistance in laboring at home by coping technique suggestions and support
You also receive 3 postpartum visits that consist of breastfeeding support, babycare support, and any other needs or resources.

Complete Midwifery Care
Midwifery service includes
- prenatal care 1 hour home visits (monthly visits until 28 weeks, biweekly visits from 28-36 weeks, weekly visits until delivery),
- Intrapartum care (attendance from the establishment of active labor until at least 2 hours postpartum),
- In Home Postpartum care (24hours postpartum 1week postpartum 2weeks postpartum and 6weeks postpartum
- Blood draws or lab specimen collection (please be aware there is a separate fee charged by the lab for processing the labs).
- 24 hour availability via phone
- Lactation support
- Newborn care: with full newborn exam metabolic and CCHD screenings, the option of Vit-K and eye ointment if chossen weight checks, breastfeeding support.

Childbirth Education: 200.00
To prepare you and your support team for the many possibilities of labor and birth. You will learn what to expect before, during, and after labor and birth. You will also learn about the different medical procedures and different coping techniques to deal with the discomforts of labor.
- This class is best taken in the 3rd trimester (28 weeks)
- Class duration is 5 hours.
Basic Breastfeeding: 80.00
To introduce the benefits of breastfeeding, preparing for breastfeeding, positioning and latching techniques, common breastfeeding problems and how to manage breastfeeding and working.
Newborn Care: 70.00
To provide general information and guidance for new parents on basic infant care. You will learn how to handle crying, diapering, bathing, and what to expect in the first weeks at home
Infant CPR: 50.00
To provide an introduction and hands on skills to infant basic life support/cpr and choking.
Car Seat Installation: 50.00
To provide information on proper use and installation of purchased car seat.
Babywearing 101: 50.00
To learn the benefits of babywearing and and learn how to safely use your baby wrap, sling, or carrier to keep your hands free.
